Folder security is something which is needed when you have confidential files on your PC. There are many folder protection tools like BuduLock and Secure Folders, but LocK-A-FoLdeR is probably one of the easiest and simplest tools to protect folders in Windows. LocK-A-FoLdeR is a freeware tool which allows you to hide and lock up to 3 folders on your computer, making them invisible and inaccessible to anyone but yourself.
On the first run, you can set a master password which is needed for any locking or unlocking of folders. In the lock folder option, you can protect upto 3 folders in one set or slots. Once you click Lock It button, it is made invisible and not accessible.
The same option can be used to unlock folders. The unlock folder option shows the slots which are currently in use.
LocK-A-FoLdeR is simple and free tool which is compatible with Windows 7 as well.
